Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 March 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Gamyam Info Tech LLP ("Gamyam," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at gamyam.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or login status. Similar technologies include localStorage, which stores data directly in your browser.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and browser storage for two purposes:
- Preference storage: To remember your cookie consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
- Analytics: To understand how visitors use our website, which pages are most popular, and how users navigate the site. Analytics cookies are loaded only after you explicitly accept them.
3. Cookies We Use
Essential (Browser Storage)
These do not require consent as they are strictly necessary for managing your cookie preferences, and are therefore exempt under ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3) where applicable (EU/EEA).
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cookie-consent |
Gamyam (first-party) | Stores your cookie consent preference ("accepted" or "declined") so the consent banner is not shown repeatedly. | localStorage | 365 days (you will be prompted to re-confirm your preference after this period, or you can change it anytime via Cookie Settings) |
Analytics (Loaded Only on Consent)
These cookies are set by Google Analytics 4 and are loaded only if you click "Accept" on our cookie consent banner.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors to the site by assigning a randomly generated identifier. | HTTP Cookie | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> |
Google Analytics | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4, tracking page views and interactions within a session. | HTTP Cookie | 2 years |
Note on cookie duration vs. data retention: The _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies have a browser-side lifespan of 2 years (set by Google). However, the analytics data collected through these cookies is retained in our Google Analytics account for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. The cookie duration and the server-side data retention period are independent: the cookie identifies your browser, while the retention period governs how long the associated usage data is stored on Google's servers.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have full control over cookies on this website:
- Cookie consent banner: When you first visit the site, a banner asks you to accept or decline analytics cookies. Analytics cookies are never loaded unless you click "Accept."
- Cookie Settings: You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" button in the website footer. This will immediately disable analytics tracking, delete any existing Google Analytics cookies, reset your preference, and display the consent banner again.
- Browser settings: You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect website functionality.
5. Third-Party Cookies
The only third-party cookies on this site are from Google Analytics (described above). We do not use any advertising, social media tracking, or remarketing cookies.
Google's use of data collected via Google Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our site does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, you can control analytics cookies through our cookie consent mechanism as described above.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): Some browsers and extensions support Global Privacy Control, a signal recognised under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Since we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, the GPC signal does not change our data practices. However, if we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to decline analytics cookies, and analytics cookies will not be loaded for that visit.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
